Creative Commons License, Explanation and what are you allowed to do with a license.

A Creative Commons License is a way for “Ian Rutherford, the Photographer” to allow you the consumer to use and share my images easily and legally.

With a Creative Commons License you are legally allowed to,

1. For personal use only - copy, share, distribute and use the image.

Under the following conditions,

  • attribution: attribution to Ian Rutherford Photography and Image Rental must be made along with the image.
  • in english, you must give credit to Ian Rutherford Photography and Image Rental.
  • link back to http://www.ianrutherford.ca

2. Non-Commercial: You may NOT USE the image for commercial purposes of ANY KIND.

You can use it for personal use only e.g.

  • a school project discussing photography and HDR.
  • home computer wall paper or screen saver.
  • personal Facebook or Google+ page.
  • personal blog page.

3. No Derivative Works: You may not alter, transform or build upon this work

  • you are not allowed to cut out or copy parts of this image and use it somewhere else.
